The purpose of the Non-Conformance Register is to record and track any nonconformances raised. These can come from sources such as customer complaints, internal audits or identified during day-to-day operations.
The register provides a good overview of the status for all non-conformities raised and can be potentially be supplemented with an additional Nonconformity Reports (NCR’s) for additional details on root cause analysis and similar.
The register includes a spreadsheet with the register information, as well as 2 additional spreadsheets to record nonconformities (NCs) and opportunities for improvement (OFI).
The Non-Conformance Register should be treated as a living document and updated with new nonconformities are identified, or when existing ones have been actioned. Its good practice to review and ensure nonconformities are actioned on an ongoing basis.
